Not many people know that Ever Bilena’s EB Matte lipstick collection carries orange shades. I have written about berry and brown colors last month, so I thought I’d expound a bit further into the other shades. Since bold, non-traditional colors are beginning to gain mileage, I decided to talk about these orange lovelies!
I have identified four shades under the EB Matte line as orange, namely Hot Summer, Autumn Breeze, and Scarlet. Scarlet can pass off as red as well, but was more orange for me.
The Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick line is not transfer-proof, but it does not bleed. All three lipsticks are creamy and have reasonable staying power. It is very light on the lips and buildable, so reapplication is easy and does not cause flakiness. These are completely non-shiny and very pigmented.
If I was to base my descriptions of the lipstick’s shades on the color of the stick itself, I would falsely assume that Hot Summer was more orange than Autumn Breeze. But upon careful swatching, I confirmed otherwise.
Hot Summer is like a fire orange. This tangerine shade performs well for me as a concealer for my dark circles. I have a light skin tone, so works great for covering up my skin’s hyper-pigmentation.
Autumn Breeze, despite the color of its stick, is a carrot orange. It is the lightest of the three orange colors, but very close to Hot Summer. Like Hot Summer, this can be used to conceal eye bags as well.
Scarlet is a bright coral red shade that serves a good dupe for MAC’s Lady Danger. I recommend Scarlet for those who like red lipstick, but want to go for a more vibrant lip color.
These orange colors are priced affordably at $3.30 USD or P165.00 in Philippine Peso each with a net weight of 3.6g. The complete Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick collection is available in all Ever Bilena stalls in leading retail outlets nationwide!
